Bell & Ross was founded in 1992 by two friends, Bruno Belamich and Carlos Rosillo, with a single design principle borrowed from aviation: legibility above all. The BR 01 took the square case and circular dial of an aircraft cockpit instrument and put it on the wrist, an idea so direct it seems obvious in retrospect. The brand supplies watches to bomb-disposal units, fighter squadrons and professional divers.

The BR 03 is the core square case at a wearable 41mm, where the original 46mm BR 01 was uncompromising. The BR 05 softens the square into an integrated-bracelet sports watch for daily wear.
